Veruela is, near the village of Vera de Moncayo, in a small valley formed by the river Huecha, whose birth is very near the monastery, under the watchful eye of Moncayo.
Veruela Monastery is one of the places chosen for the celebration of the World Garnachas February 5, 2016, for its beauty and majesty.
The set of Veruela is the first Cistercian foundation of Aragon and is dated 1145, although the original construction lasted over 250 years, so the buildings that comprise the Monastery, together various artistic styles ranging from Romanesque to cover the Church, through the Gothic inside and the medieval cloister, the Renaissance style in the baroque abbey Palace and the new monastery.
It was declared a National Monument in 1919 and in 1976 the Directorate General of Fine Arts in Spanish ceded in usufruct to the Provincial de Zaragoza, who continued their maintenance and conservation.
Inside this museum came from the DO Campo de Borja.
